PsyGlobal Connect & Grow network event

Last Friday, PsyGlobal hosted a networking event for international mental health professionals. During the event, there were several speed-date style information tables where the psychologists were able to ask all their questions concerning matching & recruitment, professional accreditation and the PsyGlobal educational programs.

Despite the heat, the event was a fruitful get-together with participants from all over the world. A heartfelt thank you for everyone that joined us.
In November, we will organise another networking event for international mental health professionals, hopefully with slightly kinder temperatures 🙂

Mind Resilience Retreat

Last Friday, PsyGlobal organised a Mind Resilience Retreat for the Mental Health Professionals that are currently working at Dutch mental health organisations, through PsyGlobal. Via the concept of the ‘healthy mind platter’, we explored and reflected on the various pillars of the healthy mind, including playfulness and creativity. No difficult training course, just a focus on selfcare for a change. It was a warm (both literally and figuratively) and inspiring afternoon.

A special thanks to Reinilda Dernison and all participants. We are already looking forward to next year’s Vitality event!

PsyGlobal at NIP congress

Last Friday Ursula de Korte & Ruben Arnold attended the NIP annual congress with PsyGlobal.org, and it was a great day.

Inspiring speakers, an interesting program, and exactly the kind of conversations that remind you why accessible mental health care, for everyone, regardless of language or background, is worth investing in.
We met some wonderful people and came home with plenty of new ideas.

As an organization working to support international psychologists in the Netherlands events like these are especially valuable. We hope to build many more connections within the Nederlands Instituut van Psychologen (NIP) community, and especially with initiatives like NIP: Diversiteit, Inclusie & Psychologie, whose work closely aligns with our mission.

The psychology community in the Netherlands has so much to offer, and we believe international professionals have a lot to contribute to it.

Looking forward to what’s ahead!

Opening new office PsyGlobal

A festive day today!
In Utrecht, we inaugurate our new office at the Ganzenmarkt today with the entire PsyGlobal team. A milestone that reflects the growth we are experiencing as an organisation. Our own office, with already 15 colleagues, and many wonderful projects to continue and look forward to.

New rounds DSM training

Last year, we organised the first 2 series of the PsyGlobal DSM training. A two half-day practical introduction to the use and meaning of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) in combination with the preparation of a descriptive diagnosis within the mental health care sector. In the training, participants learned how to recognise symptoms and cluster them into identifiable classifications, improving internal communication and supports diagnostic processes.

Due to its success last year, we are organising 4 two-day series of the training in 2026, again lead by Ton van Heugten. Registrations are now open for all international mental health professionals in the Netherlands:
