CBT – full basic course (English)

Starting August 31, 2026, PsyGlobal will be hosting a 100 hours basic CBT course (in English) for international mental health professionals.

It is the first accredited English-language Basic CBT Course in the Netherlands recognized by the Dutch Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Therapy (VGCt).

🗓 Course Schedule: The duration of the course is 100 hours (30 hours introduction and 70 hours advanced level) divided over 15 study days.

Participation requirements:

• master’s degree in psychology 
• level of English minimum B2 and higher

About the course: 

During the course, students will:

•  learn how to use individual, theory-based tools such as functional analysis, meaning analysis, and thought records.
• become familiar, to some extent, with standardized, problem-focused CBT interventions. 

By the end of the Basic Course, students are expected to:

• Understand and apply the main steps of the CBT process.
• Have sufficient knowledge of basic CBT methods to carry out simple CBT treatments responsibly under supervision.
• Appreciate the importance of the therapeutic attitude and the quality of the therapeutic relationship.
