PsyGlobal College – General Terms & Conditions

Article 1 – Applicability

These General Terms and Conditions apply to all educational services provided by PsyGlobal, including courses, training programmes, workshops, supervision, webinars, and related educational activities.

These General Terms and Conditions apply to all agreements between PsyGlobal and you, as a private individual.

Article 2 – Registration and Agreement

Registration may be completed through the PsyGlobal College website or by another approved registration method.

The agreement is concluded when the participant receives an electronic confirmation of registration for the educational activity offered by PsyGlobal.

By registering for an educational activity, the participant accepts these General Terms and Conditions.

PsyGlobal reserves the right to refuse or cancel a registration if admission requirements are not met, the course is fully booked, or other reasonable circumstances prevent participation.

Article 3 – Payment

Course fees must be paid before the start of the course, unless a different payment arrangement has been agreed upon in writing. Participants are responsible for ensuring that payment is completed on time.

Payment must be made through the PsyGlobal website during the registration, or before the payment date specified in the registration confirmation or invoice.

If payment by instalments has been agreed, you must pay the agreed amounts in accordance with the payment schedule and instalment percentages set out in the agreement. Failure to pay one or more instalments does not constitute cancellation of the agreement. The cancellation provisions set out in these Terms and Conditions remain fully applicable.

If an instalment is not paid by the due date, PsyGlobal reserves the right to:

  • suspend the participant’s access to classes, the online learning environment, supervision, examinations, or course materials until payment has been received;
  • require immediate payment of the outstanding balance; and/or
  • take appropriate measures to recover the outstanding amount in accordance with applicable Dutch law.

Certificates of attendance, certificates of completion, examination results, or other proof of participation will only be issued after all outstanding financial obligations have been fulfilled.

Article 3a – Late Payment

Payment is considered overdue once the payment deadline has expired.

a. If you fail to meet your payment obligation(s) on time, PsyGlobal will send you a payment reminder. You will be granted a further 14 days to settle the outstanding amount.

b. If payment has not been received within this additional 14-day period, PsyGlobal is entitled to charge statutory interest on the outstanding amount, as well as the applicable debt collection costs according to the applicable Dutch Law.

Article 4 – Cancellation by the Participant

The participant has the statutory right to cancel the agreement without giving any reason within 14 days of registration, provided the educational activity has not yet started.

After the expiry of the 14-day cooling-off period, the following cancellation fees apply:

  • More than 1 month before the course starts: €55 administration fee.
  • Between 1 month and 2 weeks before the course starts: 30% of the total course fee.
  • Less than 2 weeks before the course starts: 50% of the total course fee.

If the participant terminates the agreement after the educational activity has commenced, PsyGlobal is entitled to charge the reasonable costs already incurred for the educational activity, including administrative and organisational costs, teaching provided, and course materials supplied. The total amount charged shall never exceed the agreed course fee. Cancellation must be submitted in writing by email. The date of receipt by PsyGlobal College shall be considered the official cancellation date.

Article 5 – Changes and Cancellation by PsyGlobal

PsyGlobal reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the course schedule, trainers, teaching format, or location when necessary.

If a course is cancelled by PsyGlobal , participants will be offered either:

  • a place in a future edition of the course, or
  • a full refund of any tuition fees already paid.

Article 6 – Intellectual Property

All course materials, presentations, recordings, manuals, and other educational resources remain the intellectual property of PsyGlobal or their respective authors.

These materials are provided exclusively for personal educational use and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, or shared without prior written permission.

Article 7 – Privacy

PsyGlobal processes personal data confidentially and in accordance with the applicable privacy legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Further information is available in the PsyGlobal Privacy Statement published on the PsyGlobal website.

Article 8 – Complaints

Complaints regarding administrative or educational matters should be submitted in writing to training@psyglobal.org.

PsyGlobal aims to acknowledge receipt of all complaints promptly and to provide a substantive response within 10 working days. If additional time is required, the participant will be informed of the expected response time.

PsyGlobal is committed to resolving complaints through mutual consultation. If a complaint cannot be resolved satisfactorily, the participant may seek further advice or pursue any rights available under applicable Dutch law.

Article 9 – Liability

To the extent that PsyGlobal is liable for any failure to perform its obligations under the agreement and the participant suffers damage as a result, PsyGlobal’s liability for damages other than personal injury, death, or damage to property shall be limited to compensation for direct damages only.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit PsyGlobal’s liability for personal injury, death, or damage to property where such liability arises under applicable law.

Any liability of PsyGlobal shall also apply to its employees, trainers, supervisors, and other persons engaged by PsyGlobal in the performance of the agreement.

Article 10 – Force Majeure

PsyGlobal shall not be liable for delays, interruptions, or cancellation of educational activities resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to unexpected unavailability of a trainer where no reasonable replacement can be arranged, government measures, pandemics, natural disasters, technical failures, strikes, or other unforeseen events.

Where reasonably possible, PsyGlobal will offer an alternative date, online delivery, or another suitable solution.

Article 11 – Admission Requirements

Participants are responsible for ensuring that they meet the admission requirements stated in the course description before registering.

For courses with specific professional entry requirements, participants may be requested to submit supporting documentation, such as diplomas, professional registrations, employment declarations, or evidence of relevant work experience.

If it is determined that a participant does not meet the published admission criteria, PsyGlobal reserves the right to refuse or terminate participation.

Article 12 – Attendance, Assessment and Certificates

Participants are expected to attend all scheduled sessions and actively participate in the educational program.

Where applicable, participants must successfully complete assignments, practical exercises, examinations, supervision requirements, or other assessments specified in the course description.

Certificates of Attendance or Certificates of Completion will only be issued after:

  • all financial obligations have been fulfilled;
  • attendance requirements have been met;
  • all mandatory course requirements have been successfully completed.

Specific completion criteria may differ between educational programs and will be communicated in the relevant course information.

Article 13 – Accreditation

Where an educational activity is accredited by a professional association or accrediting body, PsyGlobal will make every reasonable effort to ensure that the program complies with the applicable accreditation requirements.

Participants remain responsible for maintaining their own professional registrations and for complying with any requirements imposed by the relevant accrediting body.

PsyGlobal cannot guarantee that accreditation points, professional registrations, or membership applications will be granted where participants fail to meet the external requirements of the accrediting organisation.

Article 14 – Code of Conduct

PsyGlobal is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.

Participants are expected to behave professionally and respectfully towards trainers, supervisors, staff, guest speakers, and fellow participants.

PsyGlobal reserves the right to suspend or terminate participation in an educational activity in cases of serious misconduct, discrimination, harassment, intimidation, breach of confidentiality, or behaviour that disrupts the learning environment. Any entitlement to a refund will be determined in accordance with the circumstances and applicable law.

Article 15 – Confidentiality

Participants shall respect the confidentiality of all case material, personal information, and discussions shared during educational activities.

Any clinical cases discussed during courses, supervision, or workshops must be anonymised in accordance with applicable professional guidelines and privacy legislation.

Participants may not record educational sessions without prior written permission from PsyGlobal and all persons involved.

Article 16 – Final Provisions

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

PsyGlobal reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Updated versions will be published on the PsyGlobal website and shall apply to future registrations.

These Terms and Conditions are governed exclusively by Dutch law.
