Working in Dutch Mental Healthcare: Career Pathways & Insights

We are delighted to invite you to a networking event, organized by PsyGlobal. This event brings together international mental health professionals working in the Netherlands to share experiences, learn about career pathways and connect with peers.

The event takes place in the week of the International Day for Tolerance (UNESCO), a reminder of the importance of mutual understanding and inclusion. By gathering professionals from diverse backgrounds, we aim to create an open space for exchange and collaboration.

Event date: 19 november 2025 (Wednesday) between 15:30 and 19:00

Location: Utrecht (exact location to be confirmed)

Language: (fully in) English

Program: 

  • Experts that will share their experience of working in the Dutch Mental Healthcare system, among them Krista Winter; GZ-psychologist, supervisor and teacher in CBT and trauma therapist (EMDR practitioner VEN).
  • Insightful information about Psyflix educational platform for psychologists.
  • A panel discussion on what mental health professionals “wish they knew” when starting out in the Netherlands.
  • Time for networking with fellow professionals, speakers, and organizations over drinks and snacks.

Admission Fee: €15 (excl. VAT (21%)*). The admission fee is requested to cover venue and catering costs; remaining funds will be donated to our partner organization De Vrolijkheid. De Vrolijkheid is a national foundation active in asylum seeker centers across the Netherlands. Through art, music, and creative projects, they create safe spaces where children, young people, and families can express themselves and build resilience.
